Cookie Policy

Effective 08.07.2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Epic House SIA uses cookies and similar technologies on https://www.scoutgo.app and https://www.scoutgo.app. It complements the Privacy Policy and is published in compliance with Article 5(3) of the EU ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC, as transposed into Latvian law (where Epic House SIA is established) and into the national law of every EU/EEA Member State where the Service is offered.

1. What are cookies?

A “cookie” is a small text file that a website stores on your device. We also describe under this policy localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB and any similar device-storage technology, since EU data-protection authorities treat them under the same rules.

2. The cookies we use

We use only strictly-necessary cookies. They cannot be disabled because the Service does not work without them. Under EU law (ePrivacy Directive Art. 5(3)), strictly-necessary cookies do not require your prior consent.

On our website we do not use:

Our website does not currently use analytics cookies. If we add website analytics in the future, we will update this policy and, where required by law, add a consent banner with granular opt-in choices. The Scout mobile apps do use first-party product analytics (not cookies) - see section 3.

3. Cookies and analytics in the mobile apps

The Scout iOS app does not use web cookies. It stores authentication tokens in the iOS Keychain.

The app uses first-party product analytics to understand how features are used and to find and fix bugs. Analytics events are keyed to a pseudonymous account identifier - we do not send your email or name to the analytics provider - and are hosted in the EU (Frankfurt), so this data stays within the EEA. We do not use this for advertising and we do not track you across other apps or websites; our App Store answers therefore declare “Data Not Used to Track You”. You can turn product analytics off at any time in Account → Privacy inside the app.

4. How to control cookies

5. Changes

We will update this Cookie Policy whenever we add, change or remove a cookie. The version and effective date at the top will change. The current version is always available at https://www.scoutgo.app/cookies.
